Rachel Blasko is one of the leaders responsible for the day-to-day operations at WVU Medicine Children’s. She oversaw strategic planning and construction of the new WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital, which opened in September 2022.
Blasko joined WVU Medicine in 2016. She was formerly the clinic administrator for the WVU Department of Otolaryngology and the WVU Medicine Fairmont Gateway Clinic. During her time here, she has led construction efforts of WVU Medicine Fairmont Gateway Clinic, the WVU Medicine Center for Hope and Healing, and the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute for Innovation Center.
She is a two-time graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where she received a bachelor’s degree in health and rehabilitation sciences, and a master’s degree in health administration. She completed her healthcare administrative fellowship at the University of Kentucky.
