Dr. James G. Cain started at West Virginia University School of Medicine in the Department of Anesthesiology in 2017. Dr. Cain came from the Department of Anesthesiology at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. He completed his internship in Primary-Care Internal Medicine at Yale University in 1993.
Cain completed his residency in Anesthesia and Adult and Pediatric Cardiac Fellowship in 1996 and a Critical Care Medicine Fellowship in 1997 at Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital at Harvard University.
Cain is board certified with the American Board of Anesthesiologists and Pediatric Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine. He serves as the chief of Pediatric Anesthesiology, vice chair of the Department of Anesthesiology, and the Residency Pediatric Rotation Coordinator.
