At WVU Medicine Children’s, our experts offer specialty care for children with a variety of health conditions. Our providers represent virtually all of the medical and surgical subspecialties within the field of pediatrics.
WVU Medicine Children’s is a resource and beacon of hope for women and children in West Virginia and the surrounding region. With more than 90 pediatric specialists, we provide the greatest range of pediatric specialty, and high-risk maternal care in the region – and are committed to elevating the health and quality of life to all of those who entrust us with their care.
WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital is the only hospital in West Virginia with a pediatric cardiac surgery program, which provides surgical interventions for a full range of congenital heart defects, and an epilepsy monitoring unit equipped to serve children. Also, as part of WVU Hospitals, we are the only hospital in the state to receive Magnet status for nursing excellence; only five percent of hospitals in the country have received this designation.
