The Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital is the only location of it’s kind in West Virginia - with rooms equipped for continuous monitoring of your child’s brain activity. A diagnostic test called an electroencephalogram (EEG) helps us watch brain activity and detect body movements that could be seizures.
At our Epilepsy Program, a team of neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, and seizure specialists (epileptologists) work together to provide the highest level of care available. We offer diagnostic procedures, individualized treatments, and technology to monitor seizures that aren’t found at any other hospital in West Virginia.
