Cerebral Palsy and Spasticity Clinic

Epilepsy Center and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
WVU Medicine Children’s and the WVU Epilepsy Center offer state-of-the-art care for children and adults with seizure disorders. We have the only pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit in the state. Our rooms have special equipment that allows us to monitor your child’s condition. We provide outpatient therapy for children with disorders of the brain and central nervous system. We treat:

Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry
The pediatric neurology and behavioral medicine teams at WVU Medicine Children’s work together to treat neurobehavioral issues in children. We address issues that affect their behavior at school and at home, including headaches, chronic pain syndromes, and mood disorders. Psychologists, psychiatrists, therapists, and case managers offer evaluation and treatment for children dealing with trauma, anxiety, eating disorders, and other mental health issues. Brain and spinal cord diseases in children require highly specialized care. A collaborative team of experts work together to deliver excellent outcomes.
