WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital Infusion Center provides a supportive, family-friendly experience for infants, children, and adolescents who require intravenous (IV) infusion therapy. We treat pediatric patients with a variety of conditions, including cancer, gastrointestinal issues, and immune system deficiencies.
Our highly skilled physicians, nurses, and advanced practice providers give your child expert care and compassionate support as your family navigates the challenges of a childhood illness. Patients become like family to us – birthday parties and end-of-treatment celebrations occur at the infusion center on a regular basis.
We provide the following infusion services:
- Blood product administration
- Central line care
- Chemotherapy
- Gene therapy
- Intravenous/intramuscular medication administration
- Intravenous immunoglobulin
- Lab collection
The infusion center is located in the Medical Office Building (MOB) in the Children’s Hospital and contains eight treatment bays where patients receive IV infusion therapy on an outpatient basis. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
